Valheim Map

Valheim Map is a free desktop and in-game companion app for Valheim. Pick one of your world saves or type any seed, and the app turns it into an interactive map with biomes, rivers, boss altars, dungeons, traders, camps and every generated location. Open the same map over the game with a hotkey, no alt-tab, and use it as a live position tracker, resource finder, crafting planner and base overview.

Choose anything you want to craft or build and the app works out the full material list, subtracts what you already carry or keep in chests, and points you to the nearest confirmed place to get what is missing. Search the database for any item, recipe, upgrade cost, crafting station or drop source, then send it straight to the planner.

Your world, mapped

• Interactive map generated from a local or Steam Cloud world save, or from any typed seed
• Biome terrain, rivers and lakes rendered from Valheim's own world generator
• Boss altars, dungeons, traders, camps, settlements, ruins, runestones, natural features and creature spawn points as filterable layers
• Location search with jump-to-marker, grouped markers and detailed marker intelligence: boss requirements, trader stock, damage profiles
• Your own map pins from the character save, drawn with the game's pin icons and your labels
• Player-built structures and remembered chests, including chest contents, read from the latest world save

In-game overlay and live tracking

• Resizable in-game overlay that mirrors the desktop map, including the selected world, filters and search
• Toggle with a hotkey (Ctrl+Alt+V by default) or open it automatically when Valheim starts
• Live player position through a one-click tracking mod, with centre-on-me and follow-me modes
• Hotkeys editable inside the app and kept in sync with Overwolf's per-game shortcuts

Crafting plans that know what you own

• Pick any item or building piece and get the complete recursive material plan, including per-quality upgrade costs and intermediate crafts
• Optional inventory sharing subtracts the materials your character is carrying; chest contents from the save count as owned too
• Every missing material shows its nearest confirmed source with distance and direction, respawn timers for depleted nodes, or the creature, boss, trader or location it comes from
• Send a missing material to the map to see only the spots that hold it, or locate the exact chest that has it
• Track several crafts at once with progress, archive finished ones, and get a quiet note when a target becomes craftable

Base operations

• Portal network read from the latest save: paired and unlinked portals, each locatable on the map
• Smelters, kilns, cooking stations and other production pieces with fuel levels, queued input and finished output ready to collect
• A needs-attention summary that lists only what actually requires action

Game-accurate database

• Every item with how to craft it, where to get it, drop chances, crafting station, upgrade costs and what it is used to craft
• Data extracted directly from the installed Valheim build, so values match the version you play
• Original game icons throughout the app

The tracking mod only reads game state (position and, with a separate permission, inventory) and never crafts, moves or equips anything. Inventory and position data stay on your machine. An account is optional; the whole app works without signing in.
